If you have been hanging around with me for a while, one thing you know for sure is that Sleek has a special place in my heart. And that’s because it combines qood quality with low prices, in a simple, sleek packaging. It ticks all my boxes!
The Vintage Romance palette came to me through a friend (@luv2luvv in instagram, go say hello) as a gift for Christmas, which is quite funny because I gifted the exact same thing to my dear long lost twin from across the Atlantic, Danielle ( @beautybydaniieb on IG, and if you are interested in seeing what else was in her x-mas gift box you can click here ). So you can say we have created a Vintage Romance domino of some sort.
The palette consists of 12 eyeshadows, just like all the i-Divine palettes from the brand, and just like her sisters, she’s full of pigment, compact and travel friendly. With a fairly big mirror (that stays up), a slim figure and a secure closure the i-Divine palettes are ideal for your short or long escapes.
Time to get up close and personal, though.
The shades in the first row are (L-R) :
–Pretty in Paris (metallic white silver)
–Meet in Madrid (metallic gold)
–Court in Cannes (metallic warm tone bronze)
–Lust in L.A. (metallic cool tone bronze)
–Romance in Rome (satin grey/indigo blue)
–Propose in Prague (mette warm tone brown)
The theme of the palette is romance, and the shadow names follow it to a T. Each name starts with a letter and according to that letter, the location for each shade is chosen (e.g. Court in Cannes). This attention to detail is what I want to see in every single palette I get!
Second Row (L-R) :
–A Vow in Venice (satin mauvy pink)
–Marry in Monte Carlo (mettalic pinky/wine) <- hello color of the year,Marsala!
–Honeymoon in Hollywood ( burgundy plum with silver glitter)
–Bliss in Barcelona (satin gray/purple)
–Forever in Florence (deep burgundy plum with silver glitter)
–Love in London (grayish black with silver glitter)
As you can see, this palette is ideal for creating holiday/party looks if you lean towards plums and purples. The only downside of this palette is the lack of more matte shades. Even though the matte warm brown is ideal for me to use as a transition color, it would be nice to have a matte black as well. The other thing missing from this palette is a brow highlight shade, because we are not gonna be using that silver now are we, Sleek???
Either than that, I am in love with this palette! It right up my alley and I am so glad I got it!
What i-Divine palettes do you have? Which one is your favourite?
